As independent third party, it is easier for us to get appointments with key individuals in target companies.
We find clients are often very sceptical when approached about a new technology by the developer of such technology. However, when we approach a client, they are often more approachable.
This is because we would already have done a due diligence check, investigated the market, and present the technology professionally on the IP holder’s behalf. Pending the outcome of discussions, we then introduce the two parties to each other.
Promotion
There are various ways in which we promote technology.
These include:
- Tech-of-the-week feature on the Yet2.com home page
- Monthly Technology Market Place newsletter to 125,000 people
- Pro-active TechPack delivery to target clients by senior members of staff
- Annual conferences where selected companies may present their products to a specially invited audience
- Dedicated networking through our vast network of high level clients.
Such a pro-active approach requires additional cash commitment, but we may rather accept a higher commission percentage when we believe a particular technology has great potential.
Representation
Sometimes a company prefers to remain anonymous when acquiring or licensing technology. This allows us to represent your in a particular deal, while protecting your identity. This is especially helpful when auctioning IP when you might actually sell your IP to a competitor.
